WCHA Women’s Offensive Player of the Week
Dani Cameranesi – Sophomore, Forward (Plymouth, Minn.)
University of Minnesota
Cameranesi scored five goals in three games as the Gophers swept a weekend series against Minnesota State, before defeating St. Cloud State on Monday in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women’s Face-Off Classic. Her offensive output included two power-play goals, her second hat trick of the season and game-winning strikes in both contests against the Mavericks. The sophomore from Plymouth, Minn., was on the ice for eight of the Gophers’ 14 goals and finished the weekend with a +4 rating. Cameranesi, who has 21 points this season (14g, 7a) ranks second in the WCHA and is tied for eighth nationally with a 1.50 points per game. She is also tied for the NCAA lead with five power-play goals and four game-winning scores.
WCHA Women’s Rookie of the Week
Kelly Pannek – Freshman, Forward (Plymouth, Minn.)
University of Minnesota
Pannek, a freshman from Plymouth, Minn., scored her first career hat trick to lead Minnesota to a 5-0 victory over St. Cloud State on Monday night in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women’s Face-Off Classic. Her three goals came on just five shots and included both the game-winning goal and a power-play strike. Pannek, who has tallied 11 points this season (4g, 7a), ranks third in scoring among WCHA rookies with an average of 0.73 points per game.

McKenna Brand – Freshman, Forward (Nevis, Minn.)
Northeastern University
Brand recorded five points (3g, 2 a) in Northeastern’s weekend sweep over Vermont. In Saturday’s game the freshman recorded a power-play goal and two assists. Brand found the back of the net twice more on Sunday, including a power-play goal and the game-winner.

Kicked out 67 shots in two games against Maine, including 32 saves in a 2-1 overtime victory, for 1.93/.944 numbers.

ECAC Women’s Hockey Goaltender of the Week
Chelsea Laden – Senior, Goaltender (Lakeville, Minn.)
Quinnipiac University
Laden extended personal unbeaten streak to 11 games (team streak at 12) by recording a win and a tie last weekend. She earned her nation-leading seventh shutout of the season in a Friday’s top ten showdown with Clarkson, recording 15 saves. On Saturday versus St. Lawrence she made 17 stops as the Bobcats staking to a 2-2, overtime tie. She was one of just two goaltenders playing multiple games in ECAC Hockey not to record a loss over the weekend. Laden owns a 0.45 goal-against average on the season, having only surrendered five goals in 11 contest.

MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete-of-the-Week
Erika Allen – Junior, Goaltender (Roseville, Minn.)
Augsburg College
The Augsburg women’s hockey team ran its MIAC winning streak to three-in-a-row over the weekend thanks to a sweep of a conference home-and-home series against St. Catherine. Goalie Erika Allen (Roseville, Minn.) was a big part of the Auggies success, as she made 44 saves and had a 1.50 goals against average and a .936 save percentage to earn the win in both games. For her performance, the MIAC sports information directors honored Allen Monday with the MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete-of-the-Week award.
Allen was particularly good in Friday’s 3-2 home win over the Wildcats, as she stopped 31 of 33 shots for a .939 save percentage in the victory. A day later, she allowed just a single goal in a 2-1 defensive battle, as she stopped 13 of the 14 shots she faced. This season, Allen is now 3-2-2 in goal with a 1.55 goals against average and a .942 save percentage to rank third among MIAC goalies in both categories in overall games.
