Olympic teammates Harrington, Johnson square off in Mankato
No. 3 Wisconsin swept Minnesota State in WCHA women’s action with a pair of shutout wins at the Verizon Wireless Center, but the intriguing aspect of the series was found on the benches. Minnesota State coach John Harrington and Wisconsin coach Mark Johnson, teammates on Herb Brooks’ gold-medal-winning 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team, went head-to head in a first-of -its-kind matchup. Photographer Jaylynn Nash captured some of the action on and off the ice on Saturday.
Jaylynn Nash, a soon-to-be graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design, a second concentration in photography and a marketing minor. Originally from South Dakota, Jaylynn has been developing her photography talent since she was nine.While maintaining honors as a full-time MSU student, Jaylynn works as a graphic arts intern for Taylor Strategic Relations (Taylor Corporation) and a was photography intern with the WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx in the 2015 season. In preparation for the Minnesota Lynx 2015 season, she aided with the Timberwolves in the 2014-15 season and also their most recent Media Day.
