Players: Virgil Johnson, William Moe, Victor Des Jardins, Douglas Everett, John Garrison, Clifford Purpur & Raymond Chaisson.
1976: Former NHL center Steve Kelly born in Vancouver, B.C. Kelly played in the NHL 1996-97 through 2007-08 with Edmonton, Tampa Bay, New Jersey, Los Angeles and the Minnesota Wild.
1977: Goaltender Pete LoPresti recorded his 4th career shutout to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 3-0 win over Boston at the Met Center.
1983: Dave Christian scored his first goal with Washington and Al Jensen was recorded his second straight shutout as the Capitals got their first shutout ever in New Jersey, a 2-0 win over the Devils.
1983: NHL defenseman Drew Bagnall born in Oakbank, Manitoba. Bagnall has played in the NHL since 2010-11 with the Minnesota Wild.
1985: Keith Acton scored a goal and added two assists as the Minnesota North Stars won 7-5 over the Maple Leafs at Toronto.
1990: Calgary Flames obtained Frank Musil from the Minnesota North Stars, in exchange for Brian Glynn.
1991: Goaltender Jon Casey recorded his 8th career shutout to lead the North Stars to a 4-0 win over the Bruins, in Minnesota.
1991: Minnesota North Stars claimed Derrick Smith from Philadelphia on waivers.
1994: Stephane Morin records the first hat-trick in Minnesota Moose team history in a shoot-out loss vs. Houston in Texas.
1995: Defenseman Sean Hill launched a 120 foot shot from his own blue line to beat Kings’ goalie Byron Dafoe with 3:21 remaining in regulation as the Senators won 5-4 over the visiting Los Angeles Kings.
1995: Dallas Stars rookies Jere Lehtinen and Jamie Langenbrunner each scored their first career NHL goals in a 5-2 win over the visiting Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
2002: Matt Johnson set a Minnesota Wild franchise record with 37 penalty minutes and Manny Fernandez made 39 saves in a 6-1 win over Phoenix Coyotes.
2002: 20-year-old Marian Gaborik took 8 shots, scored two goals, tied a team record with four assists, and set a team record with six points as the Minnesota Wild won for the first time at Phoenix, 6-1 over the Coyotes.
2011: New Jersey Devils claimed Ryan Carter off waivers from the Florida Panthers.
2011: Mark Johnson and Bob Pulford were among the winners of the 2011 Lester Patrick Award, for service to hockey in the United States.
