1968: Minnesota’s Danny Grant set a team record for rookies with his first career hat trick and Ray Cullen had a team record five points (including four assists in one period) to lead the North Stars to a 6-4 win against Detroit.
1974: Dennis Hextall scored twice and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 7-5 win over the Maple Leafs, at the Met Center.
1979: Al MacAdam scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-5 win over the Rockies, at Colorado.
1980: The North Stars defeat Chicago 7-1 for their first win at Chicago Stadium since Nov. 19, 1972.
1983: Minnesota’s Dino Ciccarelli scored his 7th career hat trick as the North Stars won 5-3, at Detroit.
1985: Scott Bjugstad scored the winning goal at 2:04 of overtime to lead the North Stars to a 4-3 win over the Rangers in Minnesota. Bjugstad also added an assist.
2001: Mark Bell and Phil Housley scored 26 seconds apart in the second period to extend the Blackhawks’ home unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 3-1 victory against the visiting Vancouver Canucks. It was also Brian Sutter’s 800th game as an NHL head coach.
2002: Minnesota Wild rookie Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored his first career NHL goal (on a power play), Marian Gaborik set a team record by taking 9 shots and Filip Kuba set a team record for defensemen with 6 shots, going scoreless in a 4-2 win at San Jose.
