1967: Montreal Canadiens became the first team in NHL history to win 500 road games when they won 5-1 against the North Stars at Minnesota. Dick Duff led the scoring with a goal and three assists.
1968: Montreal Canadiens traded Brian Smith to the Minnesota North Stars for cash.
1980: Tom McCarthy scored a goal and added two assists to lead the North Stars to a 5-2 win over the Black Hawks in Minnesota.
1983: Gilles Meloche recorded his 19th career shutout as the North Stars won 6-0 against New Jersey in Minnesota. Neal Broten led the scoring with a goal and two assists.1989 Minnesota’s Clark Donatelli became the second rookie in North Stars history to score a regular season overtime goal when he connected at 1:35 of OT for a 2-1 victory at New Jersey.
1996: Damian Rhodes became the Ottawa Senators leader in career victories, when he won his 15th game with the team, a 4-3 win over Chicago. Rhodes broke the mark of 14 career wins, held by Don Beaupre.
2001: Matt Cooke scored twice and Trent Klatt had two assists in the Canucks 2-1 win over the visiting St. Louis Blues.
2002: Jamie Langenbrunner scored two goals for the second straight game and added an assist as the Devils outshot the visiting Montreal Canadiens 44-21 for a 5-1 victory.
2007: Minnesota’s Eric Belanger tied a team record with four assists to lead the Wild to a 4-2 win against the Oilers at Edmonton.
