1968: Minnesota North Stars tied a record for NHL expansion teams with their fourth straight victory, a 6-1 win over the visiting L.A. Kings. Dave Balon led the scoring with three assists.

1971: Tommy Williams had a goal and two assists as the Minnesota North Stars tied a team record with 53 shots in a 7-1 win against the California Golden Seals, at the Met Center.

1978: Tim Young had three assists as the Minnesota North Stars lost 7-4 to the Flames in Atlanta.

1983: Minnesota North Stars were credited with the 150th road win in franchise history, 4-2 against the Maple Leafs at Toronto.

2009: Islanders’ rookie Kyle Okposo scored a goal in his fourth straight game, a 3-1 win over the visiting Florida Panthers.

2009: Matt Cullen had a shorthanded goal and added an assist in the first period and Cam Ward recorded his ninth career shutout as the Hurricanes beat the visiting Thrashers 2-0, their first ever shutout against Atlanta (in 11 years).

2009: Niklas Backstrom made 37 saves and Marc-Andre Bergeron scored his second goal of the game on a power at 2:02 of overtime to give the Wild a 4-3 win at Vancouver.

2009: Pierre-Marc Bouchard became the second player to score 250 points as a member of the Minnesota Wild; he reached the milestone with a three assists in a 4-3 overtime win at Anaheim.

2010: Anaheim Ducks acquired Jason Blake and Vesa Toskala from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for J.S. Giguere.
