1968: Andre Boudrias scored a goal and two assists, Cesare Maniago got his 6th career shutout and the North Stars set a team record with 5 goals in the third period in a 6-0 win over the Kings, in Minnesota.
1974: The World Hockey Association (WHA) and the Minnesota Fighting Saints, held the leagues All-Star game at the St. Paul Civic Center in downtown St. Paul, MN.
1975: Atlanta Flames traded Dwight Bialowas along with Dean Talafous to the Minnesota North Stars, in exchange for Barry Gibbs.
1976: Dennis Hextall scored a goal and an assist as the Minnesota North Stars lost 3-2 to the Blues at St. Louis.
1979: Al MacAdam scored two goals and an assist and rookie Bobby Smith had a goal and two assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 3-3 tie against St. Louis at the Met Center.
1980: Detroit Red Wings traded Dave Hanson to the Minnesota North Stars in exchange for future considerations.
1981: Defenseman Reed Larson scored his first career hat trick and added an assist as the Red Wings lost to the Penguins, 6-4, at Pittsburgh. Larson became the first Detroit defenseman since Red Kelly in 1954, to score three goals in one game.
1981: Minnesota’s Gilles Meloche got his 15th career shutout as the Minnesota North Stars won 3-0 over Washington.
1985: Former NHL defenseman Shawn Belle born in Edmonton, Alta. Belle played in the NHL 2006-07 with the Minnesota Wild.
1985: Keith Acton and Tom McCarthy each scored their third career hat tricks (the first with Minnesota for Acton and the final of his career) and added an assist to lead the North Stars to an 8-3 win against the Kings, at Los Angeles.
1988: Hartford Whalers traded Shane Churla and Dana Murzyn to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Neil Sheehy, Carey Wilson and the rights to Lane MacDonald.
1993: Mark Tinordi scored twice and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-6 tie against the Whalers at Hartford.
2001: New York Islanders obtained Moorhead, MN native Jason Blake from the Los Angeles Kings, in exchange for a future draft choice.
2003: Bloomington, MN native Mark Parrish scored his 4th career hat trick and added an assist in the Islanders 8-4 win against the visiting Boston Bruins.
2004: Tampa Bay set a team record for fastest two goals when Ben Clymer and Ruslan Fedotenko combined to score in a span of :11 during the third period and Fredrik Modin had 3 straight goals for his 2nd career hat trick in a 6-1 win over the visiting Flyers.
2006: Despite being outshot 45-23 by the Red Wings, Dwayne Roloson made 43 saves to lead the Wild to a 4-2 win at Detroit.
2008: Minnesota’s Brent Burns tied a team record for defensemen with three assists in a 6-3 win against the visiting Dallas Stars.
2009: Brent Burns tied a Minnesota team record for defensemen by taking 7 shots for the Wild, picking up one assist in a 3-2 shootout loss vs Detroit.
