1956: Former NHL left winger Warren Young born in Toronto, Ont. Young played in the NHL 1981-82 through 1987-88 with the Minnesota North Stars, Pittsburgh and Detroit.
1959: Former NHL defenseman Rob Ramage born in Byron, Ont. Ramage played in the NHL 1979-80 thru 1993-94 with the Colorado Rockies, St. Louis, Calgary, Toronto, the Minnesota North Stars, Tampa Bay, Montreal, and Philadelphia.
1965: Former NHL right winger Tim Bergland born in Crookston, MN. Bergland played in the NHL 1989-90 through 1993-94 with Washington and Tampa Bay.
1978: Tim Young had three assists as the Minnesota North Stars lost 4-3 to Toronto at the Met Center.
1984: Washington’s Bryan Erickson scored his first career NHL goal as the Capitals won 4-2 over the Kings at Los Angeles.
1986: Dirk Graham scored a goal and added two assists as the Minnesota North Stars won 5-3 over the visiting Washington Capitals.
1986: Minnesota’s Brian Bellows began a team-record 20 game point scoring streak in the North Stars’ 5-3 win against the visiting Washington Capitals.
1992: Minnesota’s Bobby Smith scored his 350th NHL career goal when the North Stars lost 7-4 to the visiting San Jose Sharks.
1998: Trent Klatt scored two power play goals and added an assist in the Flyers’ 5-2 win at Tampa Bay.
2003: Moorhead, MN native Jason Blake scored his first career hat trick and added an assist to help the Islanders improve to 7-1-0-1 in their last 9 games with a 7-3 win over the visiting Atlanta Thrashers.
2007: Viktor Kozlov tied the score at 4-4 with a power-play goal at 18:21 of the third period, and Jason Blake and Miroslav Satan each scored in the shootout to lead the Islanders to a 5-4 win over the Bruins at Boston.
2007: Marian Gaborik scored two goals and added an assist to help the Wild end an 11-game winless streak on the road, with a 5-2 win over the Canucks at Vancouver.
2008: Blackhawks outshot the Wild 43-16, but Minnesota goalie Josh Harding made 41 saves to give the Blackhawks their 8th straight loss, a 5-2 win at Chicago.
2010: Guillaume Latendresse became just the third player in Minnesota Wild history to participate in all the team’s goals (with 4 or more in game) and score the game winner, with a goal and 3 assists in a 4-3 win over the visiting Penguins.
2010: Nick Schultz became the third defenseman to score 100 points as a member of the Minnesota Wild; he reached the milestone with an assist in a 4-3 win over the visiting Penguins.
2012: Zach Parise connected at 1:06 of overtime for his 7th career overtime goal as the Devils beat the Oilers 2-1 in Edmonton.
