Six in-state match-ups dot Gopher TV schedule.
The Big Ten hockey conference unveiled its 2014-15 men’s hockey television schedule on Monday and it features over 60 games spread across multiple national and regional networks highlighted by 33 national telecasts on either the Big Ten Network, ESPNU or ESPNEWS.
Of Minnesota’s 36 regular season-games 27 are currently scheduled to be televised with Fox Sports covering 12 games to lead all networks. FSN’s lineup includes the Gophers’ Mariucci Classic opener against Merrimack, both games of the North Star College Cup and Minnesota’s Hockey Day Minnesota clash with Wisconsin.
BTN will carry 11 games while ESPNU (3) and ESPNEWS (1) round out the schedule with four. In addition, all five games of the 2015 Big Ten Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit will be televised on BTN.
Minnesota’s TV schedule is highlighted by in-state match-ups with Bemidji State (Oct. 24-25), St. Cloud State (Nov. 1), Minnesota-Duluth (Nov. 14), Minnesota State (Jan. 23) and either BSU or UMD in the second game of the North Star College Cup on Jan 24.
