1968: Toronto loaned Bronco Horvath to the North Stars as an injury replacement for Bill Masterton.
1969: Rookie Danny Grant, Claude Larose, Danny O’Shea and Elmer Vasko of the North Stars compete in the 1969 NHL All-Star game in Montreal.
1971: Minnesota’s Jude Drouin began a team-record 14 game assist streak in the Stars’ 5-3 win over the visiting Blues.
1976: Dennis and Bryan Hextall each scored a goal and added two assists to lead the North Stars to a 5-1 win against the Canucks at the Met Center.
1981: Bobby Smith had two assists to lead the North Stars to a 2-1 win over the Capitals.
1981 NHL left wing Dany Heatley born in Freiburg, W. Germany. Heatley has played in the NHL since 2001-02.
1984: Neal Broten scored a goal and added two assists to lead the North Stars to a 5-1 win over the Red Wings in MN.
1986: Dave Christian scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Capitals to a 7-5 win against the visiting North Stars.

1992: Minnesota North Stars traded Brian Glynn to Edmonton in exchange for David Shaw.

1993: Russ Courtnall scored his third career hat trick (and his 1st with Minnesota) and added an assist in the North Stars’ 7-2 win against Ottawa, at the Met Center.
1998: Mighty Ducks of Anaheim rookie Matt Cullen scored his first career NHL goal in an 8-3 win over the visiting Florida Panthers.
2000: Phil Housley became the 4th defenseman in NHL history get 800 career assists, as the Flames won 5-4 against the visiting Nashville Predators.
2004: Minnesota Wild set an NHL record for two fastest goals, when Jim Dowd and Richard Park scored goals just three seconds apart in the final 15 seconds of the game.
2012: The 5th annual, ‘Hockey Day Minnesota’ took place. The outdoor games in 2012, that were to be held outdoors on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, were moved indoors due to unseasonably hot temps in early January and were held at the Pagel Activity Center in Minnetonka, MN. The 1st game featured Grand Rapids defeating White Bear Lake 4-3. The second game featured the hometown Skippers from Minnetonka defeating #1 ranked Duluth East Greyhounds 9-3. The Girls’ game following the upset over Duluth East was against crosstown rivals: Minnetonka vs. Hopkins Girls’. The Skippers won handily 5-1.
