1947: Former NHL left winger Ernie Hicke born in Regina, Sask. Hicke played in the NHL 1970-71 through 1977-78 with Oakland, Atlanta, the Islanders, the Minnesota North Stars and Los Angeles.
1971: Minnesota goaltender Gump Worsley recorded his 42nd career shutout in the North Stars’ 3-0 win over the Flyers at Philadelphia.
1973: Detroit Red Wings obtained veteran defenseman Ted Harris from the Minnesota North Stars in exchange for defenseman Gary Bergman.
1973: Minnesota North Stars set a franchise record for fastest four goals when Rod Norrish, Buster Harvey, Bill Goldsworthy and Danny Grant combined to score 4 times in a span of 3:51 during a 5-2 win over the visiting L.A. Kings.
1977: Pierre Jarry scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 5-3 win over the Canadiens at Montreal.
1986: The North Stars open their first ‘pre-camp’ for rookies and players with less than x1 year of experience.
1990: Winnipeg Jets traded Doug Smail to the Minnesota North Stars in exchange for Don Barber.
1990: Montreal Canadiens traded goalie Brian Hayward to the Minnesota North Stars in exchange for Jayson More.
2003: Dwayne Roloson recorded his 12th career shutout as the Wild beat the Flames 3-0 for their first ever shutout in Calgary.
2007: Phoenix rookie Peter Mueller scored his first career hat trick, and Shane Doan scored the game-winner with 30.3 seconds left in overtime, as the Coyotes won 6-5 against the Ducks at Anaheim.
2008: Mark Parrish scored two power play goals and a breakaway goal in the first 26 mintes of the game for his sixth career hat trick in his first game as a member of the Dallas Stars, to lead his new team to their 600th all-time victory, a 5-2 win at Anaheim.
2009: Cal Clutterbuck scored a shorthanded goal to start the scoring and later added an assist as the Wild took the first 11 shots of the game, on their way to a 3-2 win over the visiting Dallas Stars.
